The Struggle for the Souls of Man Goes Corporate in Narwain Publishing's "The Apocalypse Plan"

In the early part of the 21st century, two major corporations are vying for control of the marketplace. Both manufacture dreams and produce promises of eternity; one sells peace of mind, the other offers pleasures of flesh. The cost for either is small; your soul...for all time.

The warring companies are Heaven and Hell, and each has led the race in market-share dominance over the centuries, at one time or another. It is a rivalry unmatched in recorded history. But here, tonight, the stalemate will end, as one company breaks a millenniums-old truce, and attempts a hostile takeover of the other...with mankind as the prize for the victor.

Narwain presents "The Apocalypse Plan", a cerebral horror story from veteran writer Rafael Nieves and newcomer Aaron Kuder.

"I've long been fascinated by stories from the bible, and I wanted to write something based on those tales, with the kind of bent that would appeal to lovers of comic books, horror, action and adventure," says Nieves.

"'The Apocalypse Plan' is my attempt to write insightful, thought-provoking material that is both exciting and horrific. If you are a mature reader who likes his/her comics raw; if you're a fan of 'Constantine' or horror flicks, like the 'Prophecy' series of films, this is the one for you!"

Although Nieves is no stranger to horror comics, having previously penned with Marvel Comics "Hellstorm, Prince of Lies",adaptations of the film "Nosferatu" and Edgar Allan Poe's "The Bells" for Caliber Press, and "Vampire: The Masquerade" for Moonstone Books, the book features the first professional work of artist Aaron Kuder.

"Aaron has a wonderfully keen eye towards drawing characters that are not immediately 'cartoony' or 'comic book-y'," raves Nieves. "His clear line style is both immediate and timeless. I foundhim through Penciljack, a website devoted to comic book creators, and I'm very happy to have him on board."

"The Apocalypse Plan" #1 is the first of a three-issue miniseries from Narwain Publishing. Each issue is 24 black and white pages priced at $3.49 USD. You'll find it in the upcoming April edition of the Diamond Previews catalog.
