LEGENDARY MARK BEACHUM
RETURNS TO COMICS WITH FLARE NEWSPAPER STRIPS
& MORE!

This summer, one of comics' most popular superheroines sets out to conquer a new medium with her very own brand-new, full-color weekly newspaper comic strip! On May 4th, in newspapers coast to coast, Heroic Publishing's popular character, FLARE, makes her newspaper comic strip debut!
Heroic Publishing has partnered with Publishing Group of America (PGA) to provide FLARE to their newspaper partners through the Hometown Content editorial syndicate. FLARE will be PGA’s first offering in the field of syndicated newspaper cartoon strips.
In the vein of such successful American strips as PvP and Liberty Meadows, the FLARE comic strip offers a unique and humorous twist on the classic comic book character. “FLARE will be a unique entry into the comic strip medium,” Mallonee says. “It’s emphatically not meant to be your typical ‘superhero’ strip. FLARE is romance, humor, and high adventure. It's all about having bright and shining fun in the battle against darkness and evil."
Heroic Publishing intends to bring to FLARE the same high level of quality in artwork and storytelling that Flare’s comic books have always had. Heroic's commitment to excellence involves a star-studded cast of artists who'll be contributing to the project, including Gordon Purcell, Tim Burgard, and Mark Beachum. Just take a look at these first couple strips:

FLARE tells the story of the young heroine, Terri Feran, who makes her living as a international fashion supermodel, and spends her free time using her photokinetic powers fighting evil as the costumed heroine, Flare. New readers and long-time fans of the FLARE comic book alike will get to see new weekly adventures of Flare in newspapers around the country, starting May 4.
